Joining Intervenr

Intervenr is a platform for studying online media run by researchers at the University of Pennsylvania. You can learn more at our About page. This website does not collect or store any data about you unless you choose to sign up. We do not use third party cookies and will not track you for advertising purposes.

The Intervenr Research Project

Intervenr is a research study. Our goal is to learn about the types of media people consume online, and how changing that media affects them. If you choose to participate, we will ask you to install our Chrome extension (for a limited time) which will record selected content from websites you visit (online advertisements in the case of our ads study). We will also ask you to complete three surveys during your participation.
You are free to end your participation at any time. If you choose to enroll in the project, only the research team will have access to your data, and any results will be calculated and reported in aggregate across all participants. Your data will be mapped to an de-identified ID, and will be destroyed following project completion. None of your Incognito browsing will be recorded, and you will have the option to redact any data that you do not want included in the project. Your participation will be confidential, and no reports or publications identify you as being part of the project.
Your part in this study will be handled in a confidential manner. Any reports or publications on this research will not identify you as being part of this study.
